Historic building with Fixit thermal insulation plaster and white plastered façade

Thermal insulation plaster – flexibly adaptable

Thermal insulation plaster

In addition to its use on exterior façades, Fixit insulation plaster can also be used indoors. Many houses still lose a lot of energy at the edges or frames of windows or at the transition from window to wall, and the different surface temperatures can lead to condensation forming at the cold bridges, resulting in mould. Thermal insulation plaster can be easily applied indoors and, thanks to its direct contact with the masonry, leaves no gaps for moisture condensation. Even when applied in thin layers, the high effectiveness of the plaster effectively reduces the temperature difference at the problem areas mentioned above, and the elimination of thermal bridges reduces heating costs.

Advantages of thermal insulation plaster:

The advantage of thermal insulation plaster is that it can adapt seamlessly and without joints to the substrate with all its shapes and deformations. Window and door reveals, projections and radii can be coated evenly and retain their shape. The thermal insulation plaster thus ensures a harmonious surface structure.

Fixit products contain high-quality lime, which forms an alkaline top coat on the exterior façade. Walls plastered in this way are diffusion-open and can continue to allow natural moisture balance even after energy-efficient renovation.

  • Reduction of thermal stress in the plaster substrate
  • Increased protection against cracking
  • Very high diffusion openness
  • Natural, mineral materials
  • High layer thicknesses combined with high material yield
  • Easy processing by hand or machine

System structure of thermal insulation plaster:

Fixit thermal insulation plaster is applied to the façade in three layers. The bottom layer is a layer of heat-insulating base coat, followed by the protective layer of insulation plaster and finally a water-repellent top coat.

The properties of the individual layers are optimally coordinated and only develop their full insulating effect for the building when combined. At the same time, the façade is protected from the effects of weather. With a diffusion-open lime paint, which is available in numerous colours, the façade can be individually designed after insulation.

Classic thermal insulation plaster

Conventional insulation plaster from Fixit offers a cost-effective option for energy-efficient renovation of more complex building shapes. These buildings can usually only be insulated with rigid insulation boards from thermal insulation composite systems at great expense, if at all. If you still want to optimise the energy costs of your house, classic insulating plaster is the ideal solution. It is easy to use and reliably protects the building from cooling down in winter and heating up in summer.

Fixit 288 CalceClima® Thermo is an ecological variant. The insulating plaster contains only mineral insulating additives and no plastic dispersion. The thermal conductivity coefficient λ is 0.067 W/mK.

Both products are vapour-permeable and moisture-regulating, suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and can be applied in thick layers. They are easy to apply by spraying onto the prepared wall and are very economical.

Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster

The innovative Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster combines the positive properties of mineral lime plaster systems with the advantages of a high-performance insulation system. It is suitable for both exterior and interior use. Thanks to the incorporated aerogels, the insulating plaster achieves a thermal conductivity coefficient λD of 0.028 W/mK and has been impressing users for over ten years in buildings of various ages.

Thanks to the excellent insulating performance of aerogel, very good insulation values can be achieved with application thicknesses of just four to six centimetres. The flexibility of application also makes it possible to preserve the historical appearance of exterior façades and thus comply with heritage protection requirements. This means that even historic buildings can be easily renovated to improve their energy efficiency.
