Product description

The mineral-based final rendering is particularly suitable for reconstructing historically significant plasterwork and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Fixit 203 can be used in a range of applications and therefore covers a wide range of usage.

Application examples

Parish assistant's house renovation Bremgarten

The late Gothic building probably served as a chaplaincy for the Bullingerpfründe and became a parish assistant's house after the recatholisation in 1531. The building, which is now a listed building, has been renovated several times over the centuries – most recently in 1990. Following the conversion and energy-efficient renovation in 2016, the historic building continues to be used for residential purposes. A studio was created on the ground floor, which could also be used as a one-room flat with a small kitchen and bathroom. A 2.5-room flat was created on the first floor and a 4.5-room maisonette flat on the second floor. In addition, a basement extension with a new archive for the parish was built.

Detached house ‘Chesa Sonder’ renovation Zuoz

This historic building, dating from 1651 and classified as worthy of preservation, shows the centuries on its exterior façade. For the energy-efficient renovation, Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster was applied to the façade in a layer thickness of 7–8 cm using a spraying method. Fixit 203 finishing plaster with hydraulic lime was applied as the finishing coat and then painted twice with Fixit 784 OF mineral sol-silicate paint. The exterior wall adjacent to the stable next to the building was insulated with 140 mm thick COMPACT PRO rock wool insulation boards.

Historic apartment building renovation Lausanne

The historic apartment building in Lausanne, built in 1905, underwent an energy-efficient renovation using Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster with a layer thickness of 3 cm. This allowed the exterior appearance with the window frames, balconies and cornices to be preserved. Fixit 203 finishing plaster with hydraulic lime in a grain size of 0–1 mm was used as the finishing plaster. This was painted twice with Fixit 786 Si silicate-silicone roll-on paint.

Apartment building ‘Cité Tony Garnier’ interior insulation Lyon (France)

The 23 apartment buildings of the Cité Tony Garnier are located in Lyon, and each building is decorated with an individual mural featuring artistic representations. Since 2016, the entire building complex has been gradually renovated to improve its energy efficiency and bring it into line with current standards. In order to preserve the cultural heritage, the interior insulation was carried out using Fixit 222 Aerogel. The painted walls were restored and in some cases completely renewed, creating a unique open-air museum.

Primary school building internal insulation Igis

The school building, which dates back to 1913, was renovated to improve its energy efficiency using our efficient Fixit 222 aerogel high-performance insulating plaster. The work was carried out as internal insulation with a 10 cm layer of insulating plaster. In the basement, the walls adjacent to the ground were also renovated from the inside with Fixit 210 Hydroment dehumidifying plaster. The ageing façade was completely covered with Fixit 462 renovation plaster, followed by a top coat of Fixit 203 (hydraulic lime).
