Product description

Fixit 493

This mineral-based substrate stabiliser reinforces the outer layers of weak, crumbling and porous limestone or limestone-cement base coat layers. When the substrate has been reinforced with Fixit 493, further coats of mineral-based plaster can be applied. Salt-affected and water-saturated substrates must be checked for suitabilty in advance of application.

Multi-family house renovation La Chaux-de-Fonds

The four-storey apartment building in La Chaux-de-Fonds was renovated to improve its energy efficiency using Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster. Before applying the thermal insulation plaster using a spraying technique, the substrate was pre-treated accordingly: a coating and primer were used to ensure good plaster adhesion. The mineral finishing plaster was painted twice with an orange façade paint.

This large apartment building, constructed in 1950, is located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris on Rue St-Sebastien. The gable end of the building consists of brickwork. Levelling plaster was applied to this to create a flat surface. The surface was then renovated for energy efficiency using Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster with a layer thickness of 3 cm. Fixit 740 Si silicate-silicone plaster was used as the finishing plaster on the exterior.

The apartment building on Vicq d'Azir in Paris, built in 1950, was in need of energy-efficient renovation. To this end, the building with its quarry stone masonry was prepared accordingly. The old plaster was removed, the substrate was consolidated and then Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster was applied with a layer thickness of 5 cm. This preserved the external appearance of the façade.

In the 19th century, major urban redevelopment measures took place in Paris. The Haussmann style is characterised by its representative exterior façade. In this apartment building, the inner courtyard was renovated to improve energy efficiency using Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster with a layer thickness of 8 cm. Fixit 740 Si silicate-silicone plaster was used as the finishing coat on the exterior.

Commercial building ‘Kreis 2’ renovation Zurich

During the energy-efficient renovation of the commercial building in Zurich's Kreis 2 district, the old base coat and finishing coat were removed and the high-performance Fixit 222 Aerogel insulating plaster was sprayed onto the exterior façade. The decision to use insulating plaster was made due to the curved façade elements. Fixit 740 Si silicate-silicone plaster with a grain size of 2 mm was used as the finishing plaster.
