Information

At the Wyssenstei residential home, residents spend most of their day in their living quarters, which means that the humidity in these rooms is generally high. The rooms were originally fitted with a vapour-proof system, which led to mould forming behind chests of drawers, shelves and cupboards. The application of Fixit 222 aerogel high-performance insulating plaster in a layer thickness of 3 cm created a vapour-permeable indoor climate. The system structure absorbs the humidity and releases it back into the room air in controlled doses. This prevents mould from forming.

Primary school building internal insulation Igis

The school building, which dates back to 1913, was renovated to improve its energy efficiency using our efficient Fixit 222 aerogel high-performance insulating plaster. The work was carried out as internal insulation with a 10 cm layer of insulating plaster. In the basement, the walls adjacent to the ground were also renovated from the inside with Fixit 210 Hydroment dehumidifying plaster. The ageing façade was completely covered with Fixit 462 renovation plaster, followed by a top coat of Fixit 203 (hydraulic lime).

Historic community centre renovation Zumikon

The historic patrician house in Zumikon is used as a community centre and was in need of energy-efficient renovation. To this end, the exterior façade was stabilised with Fixit 670 extended cement mortar and Armanet® wire mesh. This was followed by the application of Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster with a layer thickness of 3 cm. PIR insulation boards were used in the base area of the historic building.

Historic municipal administration building renovation Zweisimmen

Historic municipal administration building renovation Zweisimmen

The municipal administration of Zweisimmen is housed in a building constructed in 1897, to which an extension was added on the north side in the 1960s. The exterior façade was last renovated at the end of the 1980s. The municipality of Zweisimmen has been awarded the ‘Energy City’ label and therefore wanted to bring the administration building up to the latest energy standards. In order to preserve the original appearance of the exterior façade, Fixit 222 aerogel high-performance insulating plaster was used.
