Information

The historic Mühlestock building in Madiswil is a listed building, which meant that external insulation was not an option in this case. In order to renovate the building in line with conservation requirements and improve its energy efficiency, Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster was used. This allowed the interior walls to be visually preserved with their original character and historically curved, slightly sloping walls. The insulating plaster was applied to the quarry stone masonry of the interior walls with a layer thickness of 3–8 cm.

Parish assistant's house renovation Bremgarten

Parish assistant's house renovation Bremgarten

The late Gothic building probably served as a chaplaincy for the Bullingerpfründe and became a parish assistant's house after the recatholisation in 1531. The building, which is now a listed building, has been renovated several times over the centuries – most recently in 1990. Following the conversion and energy-efficient renovation in 2016, the historic building continues to be used for residential purposes. A studio was created on the ground floor, which could also be used as a one-room flat with a small kitchen and bathroom. A 2.5-room flat was created on the first floor and a 4.5-room maisonette flat on the second floor. In addition, a basement extension with a new archive for the parish was built.

This historic building, dating from 1651 and classified as worthy of preservation, shows the centuries on its exterior façade. Fixit 203 finishing plaster with hydraulic lime was applied as the finishing coat and then painted twice with Fixit 784 OF mineral sol-silicate paint. The exterior wall adjacent to the stable next to the building was insulated with 140 mm thick COMPACT PRO rock wool insulation boards.

Apartment building ‘Hotel Meyerhof’ renovation Hospental

The former Hotel Meyerhof was converted into an apartment building in 2021 after standing empty for over 30 years. The energy-efficient renovation was carried out using Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating plaster with a layer thickness of 6–8 cm. To do this, the existing plaster was removed down to the quarry stone masonry and the insulating plaster was sprayed on by machine. The large, white façade surfaces were coated twice with Fixit 777 fine plaster with a grain size of 0.5 mm. The small grey areas were created using a mixture of Fixit 205 base plaster and Fixit 208 base mixture (homemade Worms plaster). Finally, the exterior façade was painted twice with mineral paint.
