The AAA2025 – the Aerogel Architecture Award 2024 – is taking place for the fifth time this year. Energy-efficiently renovated buildings with Fixit 222 Aerogel high-performance insulating render are eligible to participate under the given conditions of the competition.
The competition honours completed projects in the field of refurbishment and monument preservation that have been implemented with innovative aerogel insulation solutions. Designs can be submitted in two categories until 16 May 2025. The high-calibre jury will assess the submissions in terms of the preservation of the historical appearance, the energy efficiency concept and the originality of the solution. The award ceremony will take place in the NEST building on the Empa campus and will present the winning projects to a broad public.
